This page is tragically out of date -I'd like to update this site properly (designed c1996, content barely changed since then), but... I'm just so busy making other sites. So instead I offer (for now) this brief note hacked into this page:

Since I last updated these pages properly, I've done various kinds of interesting and stimulating work:

• Research Scientist at Xerox Research Centre Cambridge (now sadly closed down), researching issues in "unremarkability" and the future of domestic technologies, and some methods by which designers and ethnographers can work together. 2001-2002.
• Worked for various clients on web-based, embedded (robotics and factory automation) Uis, and Authoring tools for business 3d graphics. 2002-2005.
• Technical Director at Soda Creative, working on webapps, and a little robotics, and other interesting things. 2005-2007.
• I'm now working on a variety of clients' work (webapps, and authoring tools, largely) and continuing work started at Soda on the webapp and the java application framework underneath sodaplay.com
• I've realised there's this thing called blogging. I've started.

• Delivered eBusiness consultancy and workshops for high-profile clients (HP, Novartis Pharmaceuticals, Kidde)
• Planned, managed and delivered creative-led internet/multimedia projects directly for high profile and smaller clients with project values from £10k to £1M.

• Managed my own studio design business for five years and then created Teamworks Interactive
• As General Manager of Teamworks Interactive, brought together a team of internet professionals to launch internet/multimedia offshoot of traditional through-the-line ad agency.
• Worked with existing clients of traditional ad agency Teamworks Advertising, finding business opportunities and selling in Teamworks Interactive's services.
• Troubleshooting and project-rescue.
• Trialling and introduction of project methodologies and controls
